MARCUS FROTSCHER Sales Operation Manager - Central Europe - Frankfurt
Marcus arrived at Le Meridien by accident when the company took over the hotel he was working for.
"What's kept me within the company since 1996 has been the constant personal development. Every year and a half or two years, Le Meridien has given me a chance to change job area or responsibilities and gain new experience. I've moved from Reservations to Sales, been promoted to Director of Sales and then through Revenue Management to a role in Business Development, supporting the opening of our Munich hotel in 2002.
Today, I am Sales Operations Manager; advising, co-ordinating and communicating with the 10 hotels that form my area and making sure they each get the right amount of attention and support to meet their individual needs is a big challenge. It is, however, rewarding to be able to give back some of the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years.
In the next 12 months I'd like to become a specialist in Area Operations Support and Revenue Management at a corporate level so I can develop and coach others. Training, training and more training is the key!
